The Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts at Sacred Heart University continues its American Legend Series with A Conversation with Florence Hendersonat at the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts on the Campus of Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Ave. in Fairfield Saturday, May 4 at 8 pm. Wesleyan University’s Theater Department presents Tang Xianzu's "Peony Pavilion," directed by Jeffrey Sichel, from Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 8 pm in the CFA Theater, located at 271 Washington Terrace on the Wesleyan campus in Middletown. There will also be a 2 pm matinee performance on Saturday, April 27. Susanna Salk, right,  author of “A Privileged Life: Celebrating WASP Style,” will speak at “Books Worth Talking About,” on Tuesday, May 7, 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the Lucille Lortel White Barn Center at Westport Country Playhouse. David Smith, of Cablevision, will moderate. The literary salon will be followed by an 8 pm performance of the A. R. Gurney’s The Dining Room, a witty and heartfelt observation of life among White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, directed by Mark Lamos, Westport Country Playhouse artistic director. Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman has selected playwright Jen Silverman as the winner of the 2013 Yale Drama Series for her play Still, chosen from almost 1,100 entries from 30 countries. As winner of the competition, Still will be published by Yale University Press, receive a staged reading at Lincoln Center Theater’s Claire Tow Theater, and Silverman will be presented with the David Charles Horn Prize, a cash award of $10,000.
